MOOD:

2002

MAIN:

PEACE!

After ten sunny parades, St. Peter had no compassion for the dancing mass of people in 2002. It rained the entire day in buckets and the thermometer showed a cool 17 degree Celsius. The zest for life among the Street Parade attendees, however, remained unbroken despite the terrible weather conditions.

Approximately 650,000 people danced wildly on the wet pavement to that year's motto «PEACE!», bringing much zest for life and color to rain soaked Zurich. For the first time, Radio Street Parade was unable to enjoy a lake view, transmitting starting mid-July 2002 from the «Movie» Bar near Zurich's main train station.
